Being offered for sale is a fine and interesting post civil war Model 1861 Parkers Snow & Co rifle musket with the Miller breechloading conversion. Patented by William H and George W Miller, Rifle altered by Merrden Mfg Co, Ct c. 1865-1867 and is one of estimated 2,000 altered. .58 Rimfire cartridge, conversion breechblock unit adapted to breech of barrel. Lifting upward on lug type latch releases the breechblock allowing it to swing up for loading. The action works as it should, Please review all the photos that highlight this fantastic limited production firearm, Make note of the remaining case blue color on the breechloading mechanism.
