Mauser ceased Luger production in 1942 in favor of the P-38 which replaced the Luger in 1943. This Luger was made in the last year of production and looks to have seen only very limited service. It is in excellent original condition with over 95% blue, excellent checkered wood grips and a perfect bore. This is a GI bring-back "war trophy" (has the GI's identification number scratched on the right side of the frame, behind the toggle frame), not one of the import marked (redo's) that are in the marketplace.
