Description:
This is an interesting Sharps that was converted from a Model 1859 Civil War Carbine. This was converted to a Heavy Barrel in the .40 Caliber. The mechanics function correctly, the bore is good. This is an interesting possibly factory conversion but could also be a frontier converted gun. The forearm is small and has a bunch of German silver mountings. There is a repair of the stock where a chunk of wood was missing and repaired, it is a well done repair that I didn’t notice when I purchased. A very interesting gun at a good price point. Shipping because of the weight will be a flat $100 with full insurance.
