Description:
This is a 1967 Browning Safari in 300 Winchester Magnum.  The rifle is made in Belgium (serial number 7L 44212).  The bluing is in excellent shape with no rust or pits.  The bore is excellent and has a propensity for the Remington 200 grain  Swift A-Frame load which shoots around 1 MOA.  The wood stock shows more wear than the metal with some dents, dings and chips.  I have endeavored to show this in the photos.  If you were holding this rifle in your hands I believe you would agree that the stock wear is modest and acceptable for a rifle of 53 years.  There is absolutely no evidence of the salt wood problem which is more often encountered in the rifles made in 1969-1971.  When I bought this rifle, it had no rear site.  Oftentimes in the past, the owner would remove the rear site in order to accomodate a scope.  Most of these sites were then lost to posterity as is the case whith this rifle.  The rifle sports a Leupold Vari-X III scope in 3.5x10 power in near perfect condition.  The scope is not included, but I would enetertain a reasonable offer.  The rings and bases are included.  I will ship in a hard case at no extra charge.  Buyer pays actual shipping.
