John Kopec Letter
Colt .45 purchased for the U.S. in 1881. It was inspected by David F. Clark. The gun is an all matching numbers, and correct inspector marked gun, with a great Kopec letter. I have attached the Kopec letter so you can review his findings. I think the key to his assertaions is the fact the gun has all original components. The barrel was shortened to six inches many moons ago, more than likely to a bulged barrel. Gun has been in a San Antonio for at least 80 years. I can have or can take additional pictures as needed.
