Description:
Winchester Rifle Model 1894; Serial No. 685611; Historic Winchester “101 Ranch” Marked Rifle, 30 WCF Caliber, 26” Octagonal Barrel with a vent rib; Extremely Scarce, Special Order, Model 1894 Chambered in .30 W.C.F. or .30/30 Caliber. The vent rib is most certainly factory installed due to the placement of all markings on the left side barrel flat rather than on top. The rib has a buckhorn sight on the rear and a ramped, blade front sight with a silver bead. Another possible special order feature is the cheek piece on the shotgun style butt stock which has been expertly covered in heavy leather by the 101 Ranch Saddle Shop. The rifle has seen much use on the ranch as evidenced by the overall condition. The Stock is Stamped with “101” on the left side wrist. The leather butt stock wrap is Stamped on the left side “Saddle Shop” and on the right side “MILLER BROTHERS / 101 RANCH PONCA CITY / OT (Oklahoma Territory) / NO 134”. There are factory sling swivels and a period leather shoulder strap. The wood has seen fairly heavy use with a sliver missing on the top, right side tang. There are other scratches and dents in the wood commensurate with extensive Ranch Use. The bottom of the frame is marked “ODIN ALEX VA” which indicates that this rifle Went Overseas and was Stamped Upon its Return, possibly on one of their European Trips; From the Collection of Buddy King of Canadian, Texas; “THERE ARE SOME IDIOTS ON THE WINCHESTER FORUM THAT HAVE PISSED ON THIS ITEM.  THE WORST IS A TOTAL GOOF-BALL FROM CANADA.  THEY HAVE ACCUSED ME, BUDDY KING, AND A&S CO.OF FRAUD.  THEY AREN’T WORTH SUING, PROBABLY HAVE TO SELL THEIR COMPUTERS TO PAY JUDGEMENT ANYWAY”; PERSONAL PROPERTY of Harold Wieser; Price: $4,975 + $60 S&H; Price includes insured shipping; return policy: three days inspection from the date the item is received; full refund of shipping both ways ONLY IF THE ITEM IS MISREPRESENTED.
