Description:
For your consideration is a very early pre-war or very early war Walther PPK flat base magazine. This magazine is in near-mint condition showing minimal wear & retains 95%+ of the bluing. The magazine is characterized by a rich high polish blue finish on the entire magazine. The “Walther Banner” is lower…almost on the base of the magazine. The wear is minimal & even throughout with the base of the magazine showing almost no bluing loss at all. The bluing is so good that it was difficult to photograph & any discolorations you see are from the either a reflection or from handling the magazine.
This is a somewhat difficult to find variation & was followed by two subsequent variations; a “Walther Banner” only magazine with the housing in a dull military finish but with a high polish base & the “wartime” variation with the “Walther Banner” in addition to “PPK 7,65m/m”. This magazine is appropriate for almost any Walther PPK: pre-war commercial, early-war military, early-war commercial or just about any other PPK as magazines of all type were used throughout the war.
Asking price is $175 or your best reasonable offer. A similar magazine in like condition sold on Pre98 for $200!
