London: A Hand Detachable Modele de Luxe Ejector (Droplock) 12 Bore Completed in 1925 That Remains Totally Original Except for the Pad, 32" barrels, "C" Bolting Dolls Head Third Fastener Rib Extension, Hinged cover plate, Scalloped action body, 32" Ejector Dovetail Lump barrels originally proved at 1 1/4 ounce, The bores at .733 .015 & .042" (Open Mod. & Full), Original 2 3/4" chambers, Wall thickness on the right barrel at .033" and .032" on the left barrel, Rounded action body, Original factory Single selective trigger and so marked, Scalloped action back, Splinter forend with a Deeley & Edge release, Straight hand stock at 14 1/16 x 1 1/2 x 2 1/8" over a cushy pad with a rubber face (We will install a 1" pad soon), Nice cast-off for the right hand, Very nice 32" barrel weight of 7 lbs. 9 oz., 90% coverage of very well cut scroll engraving, Nice wood with very nice color and contrast, This Droplock remains totally original except the pad, Original 85% case colors, Original barrel black is at 90%, The barrel striking remains perfect, Original wood finish remains at 82-84%, The checkering remains at 94%, The barrels inside and out look like the day they left Westley and remain excellent plus, The breech face retains 90% case colors. It is cased in the original leather trunk with the proper trade label and cleaning accessories. Here is a Droplock Westley that qualifies as an exceptional piece from the Golden Era between the 2 great wars. This is a nice piece with desirable 32" barrels.
