The electro-penciled number on the bolt does not match the serial number of the rifle, but it is unclear whether or not that is correct. The bolt is stamped "N.S./M2" on the top of the handle and has Ordnance drawing numbers on all of the components. The rifle receiver is roll-stamped: "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / M1922MII/ Cal..22 / 11026B" in six lines. These markings designated that the rifle was arsenal modified to the M2 configuration. The rifle has the pistol grip service stock with grasping grooves and checkered buttplate with no trapdoor. The stock is not stamped with the proof and inspection marks added to many M1922M1 rifles that were arsenal modified and overhauled after WW2. It only has the Springfield Armory proof. The rifle has the original Lyman 48 micrometer rear sight, a dark green parkerized barrel and receiver, bright finished bolt, and parkerized trigger guard and floor plate. The bore is perfect.
