Description:
A rugged quality Match lock with a 42" smoth bore barrel in the white like an original, and this ismma functional balck powder model with a hardwood stock keeping to the Matchlock era tradition in shape and form. A buring/smoldering rope is held in the head of the hammer and when ready to fire the pan door is pushed aside to expose the pan filled with very fine balck powder /The under lever or trigger is brought dowwn and the burning rope is lowered inthe pan to ignite the charge. All metal parts are bight and in the white much as the original, and the overall length of 57 1/2"; this quality made smooth bore of about .75 cal. and possibly has been test fired with a clean bore. A hardwood ram-rod with a stell tip is held in the ram-rod ferrules . I don't see any makers name, but this is safe to shoot black powder low charges of maybe 45 grns.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
