Colt 1911 Government Model .45 ACP as new in the original box. This Colt is as close to new as I've ever seen. Comes with a Colt Archive letter that confirms its features and history as serial number 320867-C, .45 ACP caliber, blue finish, stocks not listed, shipped to the U.S.S. Long Beach, address F.B.O. San Francisco, California, Attn: LW.J. Watson on July 24, 1968 along with 4 other Colts. It was purchased through the Rod & Gun Club and shipped during the height of the Vietnam War directly to the U.S.S. Long Beach. The initials F.P.O. stands for "Fleet Post Office" during a time when the ship was stationed in San Francisco. USS Long Beach was a nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser in the United States Navy and the world's first nuclear-powered surface combatant. She was the third Navy ship named after the city of Long Beach, California. This Colt was ordered by, and shipped to Lt. Commander W.J. Watson and comes with several pages of history on the USS Long Beach and a couple of photos of LCDR (the correct abbreviation for Lieutenant Commander) W.J. Watson. I do not think the gun has been fired since it was new. The markings are all clear and correct. It comes with its original clip, numbered box, Colt instruction pamphlet, Colt Archive letter and history documentation. The box is a little bit tattered. Price includes insurance and shipping to your FFL dealer in the continental United States where legal. A three day inspection is offered with full refund if returned unfired in the same condition.
