Description:
A good condition Japanese WWII Arisaka rifle with a 25" barrel chambered for the 7.7mm caliber, with a lcean bore, strong rifling, and some corrosion down in the groves from corrosive wartime primmers. The action is good and the Sn 84487 made at Toyo Kogyo. Bolt number not matching. Why are so many bolt numbers not matching? Truth.. when service men boarded a Vistory ship to come home , weapons were taken away from them and put into storage. The rifles stacked, in 55 gallon barrels and the bolts takene out and stored in another barrel. Upon disembarquing a bolt was assembled to a rifle and issued to it's owner or the next one in line.
This gun was made 1939 to 1945. and when wood was difficlut to supply the armories to make rifles, the longer pieces were not available so stocks were made three pce. the butt stock doevtailed and assemb;ed and the front of the stock ended at the second band  Lokking at the wood at this uncrion you can see the aged appearance and this is not duffle cut. Typical wartime dings and scrapes from field use ,,nothing unusual , and with-in the finger groove of the left side is scratched with nice script WARGO Perhaps a littel reseach will show who this was and where he served. Overall a good gun with cleaning rod. There is still some cosmoline down in the action, that would need to be cleaned out. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith  before  shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.   We don’t have a web  site .I prefer money orders or a check.  Item ships when funds come in. I try to keep guns  affordable, which means I make less money than most dealers. You won’t get altitude sickness, or nose bleed, with my prices! I consistently have the best selection of  older guns If you attempt to buy,  you must still contact us for details . Best to email to buy. Sometimes a local person can stop buy and purchase before the gun is removed.  Sometimes not home to get calls. Some guns are required shipment to a gun dealer near you for a transfer to you when it arrives. Otherwise many older or black powder guns ship to your door. With the widest selection of older guns at great prices, We don’t have a store, and sell on the internet only.  I’m easy to get along with. Thank You.
