Description:
Good working old West revolver in .38 S&W black powder cartridge, with a 3 1/2" round barrel with a decnt bore od good rifling and patches of surface corrosion, not pitted-out. Will spin a bullet good. The gun indexes and loxks up tight. The exterior metal where the nickle has worn away is dark grey and there may patches of finger print shallow salt and pepper pits Last paptn date on the barrel is 1877, and all markings are clearly seen. To open the action the latch on the bottom of the frame is pushed in and then the left side latch also pushed in and then the action slides up to the left , but the hammwr should be at half cock too. A true old West gun of the 1880 era.This is antique unless your state calls it modern. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
