2003 SHILOH SHARPS MODEL 1874 SPECIAL ORDER DALLAS SAFARI CLUB .45-70 BUFFALO HEAVY 30" OCT. RIFLE. Nickel plated receiver with scroll engraving and having rams head on left and bears head on right. Some small flaking of nickel in engraving recesses will clean up easily. Lever aslo nickel. Falling block case colored. Left side of receiver has "Shiloh Rifle Mfg. Co./ Big Timber, Montana" stamped into it in small letters. 30" heavy octagonal barrel has integral buckhorn/ ladder sight(flip up type) graduated to 800yds. Barrel has 100% of it's original brilliant blue. Has tap holes(and fill screws) for rear vernier tang sight as well but never had one on it. All screws unturned(most engraved). Mint bore and rifling. Special features are horn finger extension, pewter forend cap, crisp checkering, cheekrest, nickel plated steel buttplate. Barrel has gold fill "DSC 2003" inlay so must have been a Dallas Safari Club gun from 2003. I got this from the original owner who purchased it then and was a huge contributor/patron of theirs at the time and prolific big game hunter at the time before his untimely passing. Not your typical Shiloh Sharps Rifle offering. Unused and uncarried condition and probably never been shot
