Description:
Very scarce, Original short barrel (4 3/4"), .45cal. in nickel finish with it's original one piece walnut grip! Any short barrel, black powder Colt SAA with it's original one piece wood grip is difficult to find.Factory nickel finish is even more scarce. This gun is 100% correct and original, no cleaning or polishing and having never been monkeyed with! Excellent and tight mechanics, nice original screws with faded blue still present on most, and all facoty markings are very nice and clear, wood grips fit perfectly and are original to this revolver with lots of original varnish still remaining, all serial #'s match. Very good to excellent bore. Rare, D.F.C. government marked "overrun" cylinder, used on civilian production guns from 1884-1886. (See "A Study of the Colt Single Action Revolver" by Graham, Kopec, and Moore, pg. 51). This gun is very crisp and sharp! Comes with it's original holster that was with the gun and factory archive letter. You just don't find "UNTOUCHED" original saa's like this gun very often! NO FFL required, unless the place you live requires one for transfer, NY,NJ, etc.. $35.00 shipped and insured to the lower 48 states.
