1917 SWISS SCHMIDT RUBIN K11 MODEL 1911 7.5X55 SWISS STRAIGHT PULL CARBINE (KARABINER). Serial number "57xxx" and all matching. "Vaud" stamped for Cantonal reservist use with corresponding "P.23"(year) it was issued to reservist. This one was made as a straight 1911 carbine(not a conversion from previous model) in 1917. Still has much of it's brilliant blue with finish just fading where bolt meets receiver and muzzle. NO import marks. All markings crisp and legible. Excellent bore with crisp rifling. The original stock (with integral pistol grip-not added) has all of it's original stock finish and never sanded or cleaned so markings are clear with original period of use scratches and light dings for character. Screws unturned. These are so much fun to shoot and a must if you don't own one as they are the most accurate military rifle you can buy under $900.
