Description:
Up for sale today we have a set of 2 very unique and collectible firearms. This set consists of a Colt Frontier Scout revolver chambered in .22 LR and a Winchester Model 94 rifle chambered in .30-30 Win. Both of these firearms are Golden Spike commemoratives built in 1969 to commemorate 100 years since the driving of the last spike that connected the railroads from both sides of the USA. These 2 commemorative firearms appear to be unfired and are near mint with the exception of some faint handling marks from over the years. The Colt has a couple light handling marks near the front of the trigger guard and frame. Both of these firearms are in their original packaging. The Colt comes in the nice original hard case that has a mural representing the golden spike and also comes with a gold plated spike that is stamped "1869 - GOLDEN SPIKE - 1969". The Winchester comes in the original box with the original sleeve. Both firearms have some misc. papers with them. The Winchester has a hang tag, original serialized warranty sheet, and a golden spike booklet. The Colt comes with a Golden Spike history booklet. These guns both have a combination of gold plated and blued parts. The Winchester is a saddle ring carbine with a 20" barrel. Both guns have gold lettering pronouncing them as Golden Spike commemoratives. The Winchester does have various Golden Spike markings and even a small medallion embedded into the butt stock.
