Description:
Selling my Whitney -Kennedy 44/40 carbine , not a saddle ring receiver a carbine, I've been told less than a 1,000 of these were built for Central America, only 23,000 or so Whitney's total being built before the buy out and factory closing to my understanding.  According to the book written by Dale Olsen on the Burgess Rifles this carbine serial number B48 was build in 1881-1882.she's pretty decent , I've shot it , carbines bore is nice and shiney with rifling , tough to get a good picture but she will spin a bullet. Has the early serpentine lever and trap door butt plate.wood is nice as is the metal finish for a 138 year old carbine I'd like to see a better one. If you buy it I'd charge $45. shipping & insured and you'd have three days to look her over. I'd just ask that you'd not fire it or take her apart. If your not satisfied send her back at your expense . She's an antique so can ship to your door any questions give me a call
