Winchester Model of 1886 Sporting Rifle .40/82wcf Case Hardened Receiver. The serial number of this example is 36578 placing date of manufacture in 1889. Overall condition is fine with the Barrel and Magazine retaining 95+% of the original untouched factory rust blue. The bore is near perfect with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate an 8.5 on a 1 to 10 scale, well cared for! The Case Hardened Receiver has faded case colors remaining, with a tight, smooth and mechanically perfect action.
