Description:
Early (probably 1st Year) Pre-War Model 70 in 257 Roberts. Rifle is in overall good condition. As with most rifle of this age they were carried far more than shot. The bore is excellent with smooth mirror bright grooves; rifling is tall and square cornered the whole length. Wood, though is shows considerable use is totally sound; no cracks or repairs. Bolt is not serial numbered. Bolt handle may be a replacement to accomodate a low mounted scope. Overall a good shooter with no function issues. No headspace issues. Just a good old shooter!
