Description:
This is a beautiful hammer gun in wonderful condition. It's a London made best quality Charles Bosswell 12 bore bouble barrle shotgun with beautiful damascus barrels. The gun even comes in it's original case, which shows some wear (see photos) but is in tact and did it's job protecting this gun through the years. I'm guessing that it is an early 1880s gun which, for those of you looking for a period hammer gun, doesn't get much better than that. The engraving is incredibly fine scroll and there is a great deal of original case coloring on the gun in protected areas. At less than 6 and a half pounds, it is an extremely light hammer gun and it handles beautifully. A slight bruise on the wood next to the top lever (see photos) that could probably be raised. Other than that, it really is in amazing condition.
