Description:
***SOLD*** Winchester Model 55 .22LR shot rifle, manufactured between 1958 and 1961. This rifle features a smooth walnut stock with with blued hardware, in addition to a unique single shot mechanism, in which the bolt is locked to the rear, the round is loaded through the loading gate right into the chamber, and when the trigger is pulled, the bolt falls, fires the round and ejects the spent shell out the bottom, and the bolt is locked to the rear again. The rifle is in great shape with some signs of age and normal use, with signs of wear and handling marks, as shown in the photos. A rack number of sorts is cut into the grip cap as well. The action is fully functional and the bore looks great. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase. A cool plinking rifle with a very unique action!
