Mauser Banner Nazi Police P-08 Cal. 9 mm, Ser. 2374 u, Dated 1942.
Minty, rare and historic beauty, what a story it could tell. Not a WWI rework but an original wartime commercial Nazi Mauser Banner Police posted at a Berlin Station during the war. At war's end when it became East Berlin. The grip is marked with the German Police Shield and city code, S XX I. The right side of the slide is stamped with the war time Nazi Police Code Eagle/L, the left an Eagle/N proof. The top of the slide has the rare Mauser Banner instead of the Nazi Mauser code. It also has the Police Sear Safety only found on Police guns.
The original finish is at least 97-98%. The little loss there is, is from the usual side plate, and sharp edge silvering from a holster. The grips straps show almost no graying. All parts match including the magazine. The grips are in super shape with no chips, splits or flattened points. The bolt face, slide rails and feed ramp show only slight use. The bore is mirror bright, with razor sharp rifling. This "Holster Queen" comes with one matching rare TDK magazine marked P-08, FXO, Eagle/77, Eagle/77. A minty Nazi Era Police Luger with matching mag and the Commercial Mauser Banner finish are a rare breed.
