Description:
Here is a fine example of maybe the first sporting bolt action rifle deigned by a Charles A. Nelson for Savage in 1920. Lightweight at just under 7 pounds, a 24" barrel, the model 20 came with a Lyman no. 54 bolt sleeve peep sight. Comes with factory studs for attaching a sling . A round tapered 1-12 twist barrel it was decades ahead of its time. With less than 6,000 being built in the 300 , less than 5,000 in the 250-3000. This particular rifle is of Collector grade . Pistol grip stock and factory checkered, wood and metal appears to be all original, I am downsizing my collection and for that reason am putting this rifle up for sale. It's C&R acceptable but prefer shipping to your FFL at a cost of $45.00 insured , three days to look it over and return insured at your expense if it's not what your looking for. any questions , please contact me.
