Antique English Screw-off Barrel Flintlock Pocket or Muff Pistol, by Henry Nock, London, approx. .54 cal., 1-7/8” round barrel with bottom lug to engage a removal wrench has a left-side star that aligns with another on the frame; square profile receiver is marked “H. Nock” on left and “London” on right, has center-hung reinforced flint cock behind a dished oval pan, a frizzen with front-mounted spring and sliding safety that locks it closed, and a folding trigger that automatically drops on cocking, rounded front of receiver has 2 impressed proofmarks, "(crown)/CP" and "(crown)/V"; rounded flat-sided 1-pc. walnut (perhaps root-wood) grips.
Condition is very good+. The barrel retains approx. 90% brown finish, with the balance of the metal having been lightly cleaned; grips show nice grain and color, and a smooth oil-stained finish, with a small hairline crack to each side at the frame. Action functions well, folding trigger drops when cocked, barrel threads on smoothly.
