Description:
Likely made in the late 1870's, this neat and very usable little Jones Rotary underlever gun has many features today's vintage shotgunners seek. It is lightweight and has great modern dimensions. Made with 27-3/4" blued barrels which have 2-3/4" chambers. The sidelock action is lightly border engraved and marked "Wm. Atkinson" on both sides. The splinter forend is nicely checkered with Deeley latch release. Straight grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and has a solid red pad with top spur.
Overall, the gun is in excellent mechanical shape and has bright shiny bores. There is minor surface erosion on the front of the locks as seen in the photos. Stocks are sound and in great shape.
