Description:
***SOLD*** Savage Model 99F lever action rifle chambered in .358 Winchester, dated to 1956, 2nd year of production for the 99F. This rifle features beautiful walnut furniture with finely cut factory checkering on the grip areas, as well as a rich blued finish on the barrel and receiver, a color case hardened lever, and a jeweled bolt. The rifle is fitted with a tang mounted adjustable ring rear sight, and a dovetail insert is fitted on the barrel rear sight mount. The rifle is in great working order, with some signs of age and light/normal use, with only small areas of wear. The lever has lost some of its color-case hardening color, as shown. The action is smooth and tight, and the bore looks great. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase. A wonderful example of a very collectable 99F, in a rare chambering! C&R OK.
