Description:
This a superb Eagle and Shield pocket powder flask for the 1849 Colts Patent Pocket Revolver. It has a lot of the original lacquer left and almost all of the gold gild on the top where the spring is. The spring also has a lot of blue left. It is very hard to find these Colts Pocket Powder flasks that were made in the 1850s through the Civil War that still have a lot of the original lacquer remaining. The spout screws off correctly and the spring and the gate work exactly as they should, smooth and crisp. This would go with a very nice Colt cased revolver.
