This is a 1984 vintage Winchester/Parker reproduction, snP-00105, that is in near-new condition (no primer marks on standing breech, slight wear at bottom of action) with virtually all of the original blue, 95% case color, and 100% wood finish remaining on the gun. When the owner of Reagent Chemical Co., Tom Skeuse, convinced Winchester to reproduce the Parker shotgun in 1984, the first several hundred guns were serial numbered with a prefix of P, indicating a gun produced early in the series (or a “prototype”) and usually reserved for his friends and associates. This is one of those guns, the 105th gun so numbered. At 36 years of age, it is remarkable to find a premium example ready to chase upland game and bust clay targets. These guns are an exact duplicate of the original Parker guns made to modern day specs with modern steel for an incredibly strong and affordable double. This gun is special in several ways; it has the very desirable Parker Single Selective trigger, it has exceptional engraving with much more detail than the later DHE Parker Reproduction guns, it has a very long length of pull at 14 3/4” from a rear trigger position making this a gun that a tall guy can shoot without adding a pad, it has very nicely figured wood, it has the most desirable 28” M/F barrels (most were made with 26” IC/M barrels), and it comes in the original leather case with Parker Reproduction marked oil bottle, cleaning accessories, and the heavy canvas slip cover to protect the case. These guns continue to grow in value and finding one in near-new condition with all these desirable features is near impossible. A great gun to carry afield, balanced dead on the hinge pin and feeling like a gun worth twice as much, you can’t go wrong with these fine reproduction Parkers. There are plenty of Parker Reproduction DHE 20ga. guns for sale on the internet, but why wouldn’t you spend a few hundred extra dollars to get the best, most beautiful Repro available? There is no question that this is an exceptional Parker and it won’t last long, so don’t hesitate to call! Thanks for looking.
