Antique Engraved Kittemaug Spur Trigger Pocket Revolver, .32 RF cal., 2-5/8” octagonal barrel with low blade front sight, is marked “Kittemaug” on top flat; 5-shot fluted and punch-dot engraved cylinder; solid frame with spur trigger and integral grip straps, is engraved in punch-dots and scrolls; 2-pc. ivory grips. Fully nickel-plated finish, with case hardened hammer and trigger. Mfg’d. c. 1870-1880s.
Condition is near excellent, retaining approx. 96% bright nickel, the cylinder and barrel with a few spots of finish loss that have darkened or rusted; engraving is clear and sharp; bottom of frame, front and back strap with a few specks of minor pitting; there is also a small divot on upper backstrap that may be a manufacturing defect; hammer shows bright case colors. Grips with an even mild yellowing from age. Action is tight, hammer and trigger operate smoothly; bore is clean with some small spots of erosion, rifling is good.
