A clean rare New Hampshire maker marked gun Dover, N.H. with a 24 1/2" octagonal barrel cneter fire with a ,muzzle dimension of about .290" and the chamber is about .650' long, possibly for a .32 Cal. long?The ecterior metal is a blue triuning to greay and the frme is more silver mottled color. The American walnut-wood stocks are very good with no issues other than some finish flacking on the butt-stock comb.Front dovetailed brass ramp sight and a rocky mountain rear sight. Locks up solid with the sdie lever barrel release. Forend wood held with a wedge like the 19th century muzzle loaders but this is an early cartridge rifle with a clean rifled bore, with very good rifling. Unusul gun ot seen very often and there are no serial numbers found.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
