Description:
Exceptional condition Winchester Model 54 in 30-06 caliber, especially considering its 85 years of circulation! There were only 50,000 Model 54s ever produced making them more than 10 times rarer than their immediate successor the Pre 64 Model 70. Of those 50,000, very few remain that have not been drastically altered for scope use and/or a host of other abominations. Guns in this fine condition are extremely difficult to find. This rifle is of the later production style with the "NRA" type stock which very closely resembles a Pre War model 70 and features the correct full-length front sight ramp and hood rather than the earlier post type. This rifle is unaltered in any way and has all original finishes rating about 95% overall. It is virtually spotless inside with a new looking bore and perfect mechanical function. All components are correct including the swivels and the 22g rear sight. The S/N is 45939A with a matching scribed bolt made in 1935.
