Description:
This is a very nice older Remington Model 81 Woodsmaster in .300 Savage. The Model 81 Woodsmaster was produced from 1936 to 1950. The .300 Savage is not a caliber you would expect in a Remington, but it's in the same class as th e.30-06 Springfield. The blued 22" barrel is in very good condition, with excellent clear rifling. The blued receiver frame is very good with some minor pitting. The factory trigger is Remington smooth and crisp after a short take up. The smooth medium walnut stock is very good with some handling marks from field use. For a 72 year old rifle, it's gorgeous. No box or accessories.
