SOLD I like this Civil War era percussion.36 cal. double barrel bot pistol as it has a single trigger, which meamns that both barrel fire , together. The round barrels are about 4"long, dark brown with patina and some very fine pits. Only marking on the gun is the number 279 on the understide of the barrel. Looks like gun makde by Bacon, or Ethan Allen of the 1840's/ Action isgood, hamamers both match and lock and trigger releases.. Bores are rifled. and haven't look down there but most likely they aren't shiny and new on a gun this old! The dark walnut grips are good and have to issues. A really neat Civil War spies hide-away boot pistol. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
