Description:
Very refined and unusual gun weighing all of 5 3/4 lbs. 26 3/4" x 2 5/8" barrels by Jean Breuil, R .665/.645 (IC) and L .665/.632 (F) with very good bores and tight on face. Narrow concave swamped rib. Dent removed from right bbl toward muzzle. Elegant unique scalloped and rebated action with border and light scroll engraving, hidden third fastener. Acanthus fern, oak leaves and flowers chiselled into fences. Case colors faded to silver. Excellent screws. LOP is 14" through 7/8" Red Head pad, 1 1/8" and 2 1/8" drops. Stock has been refinished w. urethane finish, is proud to metal, but checkering was poorly recut in places. Nevertheless, a very distinctive and fast-handling gun, in good order and true to the French tradition quality and elegant guns.
