Description:
This is an extremely interesting Aston, this example is believed to be an experimental cut for stock example. Morphys sold one of these experimentals for $3,000 plus their 23% buyers premium with a different stock inlet design. Overall the condition of this pistol Is fine, nice wood, the edges are a bit rounded. Two cartouches are visible on the left flat. This was not a made into a lamp example, this is a legit experimental and appears to have been altered by the Aston factory. Both the lock and barrel are dated 1848. The action works very well. The rammer might have some form of restoration done, to what extent, I am not sure, overall a really nice and extremely interesting Aston that would be beneficial to any Martial pistol, Civil War, or Percussion Arms collection. Shipping is $25 plus actual insurance. If any questions feel free to email, call or text anytime! Thank you!
