Beretta BL6 12ga 26" Field Shotgun Serial #P55186 Preowned, RARE
Here's a very nice Beretta shotgun. This is a Model BL6 (aka S56EL) Over/Under 12-gauge. This shotgun features sideplates with elaborate floral engraving. Other features include a single-selective trigger and automatic ejectors. The barrels measure 26-3/8" in length (26" nominal) and are choked Modified and Improved Cylinder. Overall condition is excellent. The original blue finish rates 98% overall with very little wear...there is no rust or pitting. The silver receiver is just as nice, retaining 98% finish with no fading or dark spots. The stocks are in very good condition with a few minor handling marks and dings but no cracks, chips or repairs. There is a recoil pad installed for a LOP measuring 14 inches. The mechanics are in good working order and lock-up is tight with no looseness. The bores are likewise excellent...bright with no rust, pitting, dents or other problems. According to the XX8 date code marking on the barrel flat, this shotgun was manufactured in 1972.
