Description:
Arisaka Type 38 6.5mm bolt action rifle. This rifle was made by the Koishikawa Arsenal, and features the "School" character stamped over the ground off mum, indicating that the rifle was taken out of service and used as a training rifle in the Japanese military schools. The rifle is in good condition considering its age and training rifle assignment, with some usual dings and dents, a small chip in the heel of the stock, and a split in the pieces of the butt stock, but appears stable. The rifle also has much of its finish left, and the stock is painted "97", and a matching stamp in the stock is located behind the grip tang, most likely a rack number. The rifle includes a dust cover, however it seems to come loose when operating the bolt. The bore has some frosty-ness on the rifling, but may be service-able and shootable. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase. A highly colelctible Japanese small arm, a must-have for a collector!
