1938 FOX STERLINGWORTH SAVAGE ARMS, UTICA, NY 16GA. 28" SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. Serial number "375XXX" and all matching including forend wood. 28" barrels with almost all the original factory blue choked Mod and Full. Raised solid rib crisply checkered with two beads and having crisp barrel address. Receiver with about 50% of the original case colors. Tight lockup and lever right of center. Double triggers and extractor. Wood has the original checkering which is crisp and never touched up. Both forend and buttstock have added layer of old lacquer for preservation with almost no stock dings or gouges so not much use in it''s life which corroborates with it's tight lockup and lever being left of ctr. Length of pull is 14 1/4" over Jostum red rubber vent pad still pliable(often petrified) so from the period. Still many years of life left in this nice old Fox/Savage from the last years of the dying Fox name brand and the ever so fun 16ga. Which is making a comeback thankfully due it's pleasure to shoot all day long. Make a nice classic dove gun.
