1924 L.C. SMITH HUNTER ARMS CO. FW FEATHERWEIGHT FIELD GRADE 16GA. SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. 28" barrels have been professionally reblued with barrels markings still fairly crisp and choked full and full with mint bores. Barrels marked "L.C. Smith Field Grade" on right barrel and "Hunter ArmsCo. Inc. M'F'R'S Fulton, N.Y. USA" on top of left and having "Armor Steel" under forend. Raised solid rib also with crisp checkering full length and original small bras bead at muzzle. Forend re-case colored with crips matchign serial number and wood having been professionally refinished as well with recut checkering. Receiver redone with same professional case colors re-applied and crisp markings on watertable with matchign serial number preceded by"FW" (feather weight). Buttstock professionally refinished with same expertly cut checkering and 14 1/2" length of pull over bakelite buttplate. Original pistol grip cap. Excellent screws overall. Lever right of center and very tight lockup. Dbl triggers, extractor and three position safety. Very nice refinish job on gun that probably didn't really need it to begin with.
