Description:
This is a very unusual find as this model is one of the rarest if not the rarest Remington model of any kind. It is an 1891 model with the sliding extractor that first appeared on this model of rolling block pistols. There were only about 100 of these models ever made. The rarity is compounded by the gun having a round 8 inch barrel. The standard barrel was a 10 inch half octagon barrel. The 22 WRF barrel is bright and almost as new. It is not likely that you will ever see another of these pistols or ever have the opportunity to purchase one. This is a hefty gun at 41 ounces and in very good condition. Please use the ZOOM feature on the photos to determine the condition. The wood is sound and the finish has some damage by someone trying to clean it improperly.
