Description:
Here we have for sale an 1873 Winchester in 38 WCF. Rifle was manufactured in 1889. Rifle handles and presents well and the action seems to all work as it should. I have not cleaned the rifle, nor have I oiled it so I will leave that for the next owner to take care of. The rifle shows it's age through the patina and wear on the stock and the pitting on the top of the barrel, however, it has a clean and crisp Winchester name, address, and patent stamp atop the barrel and stock appears to be original as well. This rifle will straddle the fence as well as any that I have owned--it will make a nice wall hanger or you could take it out and enjoy shooting the ol' girl! I'm sure this is like the many older firearms that I have listed in that it probably has many stories to tell!
