Description:
SOLD An older turn of the century Belgian 12ga. double hammer shotgun with a 28" long barrels and the tubers are mostly clean with mild oxidation and corrosion nearer the breech. Gun locks up solid, and the hammers match and work well. I see both firing pins. Top of the barrel states : BEST ROLLED STEEL. So they may be early steel barrels? Guns this old not sold as shooters even though with brass shells and black powder they may be able to be fired I can;t guarantee anything! Exterior metal is grey/blue and mottled coloring not ruste or pitted.Chokes are: IC fro right tube and IM for left tube. The walnut stocks look good with added checkering on the forend and masterfull added repairs donw many years ago on the right side up near the breech and the left side down above the triggr guard. No too noticable unless you look close as the walnut wood is slightly lighter color. LOP with the ribbed steel butt-plate is 14 1/2". Pistol grip flat has a Germnan Silver shield factory inlaid possibly for an owner initials.Frame has engraved on it: "MACHINE MADE." Last owner shot blackmpowder loads in this gun. but I haven't! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
