Description:
A rare Grafton production Allen & Thurber, pocket size, pepperbox pistol. It is a 6 shot revolver with a ribbed & fluted barrel. It has integral nipples with no shield, and an 1837 patent, low position, mainspring tension screw. The left side of the hammer is stamped ”ALLEN & THURBER // GRAFTON MASS”, and ”ALLEN’S PATENT” is stamped in the top of the hammer. This beautiful little gun still retains its original antique ivory grips.

Condition: Iron parts are a nice grey aged patina with some darker areas, and some scattered pitting – Grips are good with some stress cracks, but stable – All correct markings are present – Frame engravings show wear – Mainspring is a bit weak, but functioning – Bores are dark.
