It was manufactured from 1872 to 1874, during the American Indian Wars period. This gun is a 6 shot with a fluted cylinder, and a steel blade style front sight. The two piece grips are walnut. The butt strap is stamped with the serial number “23518”, and the number “320”, is stamped on the back of the cylinder. The barrel address reads “*SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT.JULY 10.60.JAN.17.FEB.17.JULY 11. 65 & AUG.24.69*”. Caliber: .44 cartridge Overall Length: 13.15? Barrel Length: 8?
