Description:
This is a flat-mint and unfired 1989-production 12 gauge Remington Model 870 Magnum Special Purpose Deer Gun complete with the original box and everything it shipped from the factory with. This was Remington's top-of-the-line dedicated deer/slug gun and was introduced in 1989 and discontinued 10 years later in 1999. It features a matte blue finish on the metal, a 20" inch barrel with 3" inch chambers and a factory-installed cantilevered scope mount, the Remchoke choke tube system with a factory rifled tube for saboted slugs and Improved Cylinder tube for rifled slugs, and a checkered American Walnut pistol-grip stock set with a factory installed Remington recoil pad and factory sling swivel studs. This Model 870 Magnum Special Purpose Deer Gun also comes with a set of factory supplied 1" scope rings, and a factory-supplied sling as well. This particular example was made in the first year of production and appears to have been bought new and put into storage immediately, never once carried afield or fired. It shows no evidence of even being loaded previously much less shot, and there has never been optics mounted on it. It is 100% just like the day it left the factory and should function as-new. The original box contains all of the paperwork, pamphlets, hangtags, and accessories. This Remington would be an excellent addition to any Remington 870 collection and would be impossible to upgrade. It would also be an excellent choice for someone looking for a top quality slug gun for the upcoming deer season. This is truly a time-capsule Remington 870!
