CASED H. CLARKE & SONS DEELEY’S PATENT EJECTOR BOXLOCK 12 GAUGE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN CIRCA 1900. Later 30” barrels choked Modified and Improved Modified with 2 ¾” chambers. Birmingham Nitro proofs. Barrel rib engraved “A. CLARKE & SONS. MIDLAND GUN WORKS, LEICESTER”. 10,xxx serial range on trigger guard tang with barrels numbered in the 16,xxx range. Automatic ejectors, double triggers and automatic safety. High grade scroll engraved lock and mounts. Nicely figured walnut checkered stock and forend. 14” pull over original horn butt plate. 1 ½’, 2 ¼” drop. Weight 6 ½ pounds. Barrel and mounts re-blued professionally in England. Frame a medium grey patina with crisp engraving. A few minor spots of pin head salt and pepper. Stock and forend refinished with checkering recut properly. Very tight and in perfect working order with mint bores. Nice looking and very serviceable. Associated canvas and leather luggage case with Gallyon & Sons trade label.
