Please look at all pics,1939 catalog talks about the Chamois sleeve(optional) for extra barrel... The gold work on the barrel is exactly what Grade 4`s came with.I sold the Grade four 2 barreled set and the dude didn`t want the third barrel.His loss someone else`s gain. The `cutts` so-to-speak is original to barrel .I`ve never seen one before and have been with the BCA since 1975. No longer a member but Time to start thinning out extra things.I`m going to put a value on this barrel,based on collectability. If someone would like to add a nice extra barrel ,12 ga.Grade 4 and NO SERIAL NO. Make me an offer.Good luck. When was the last time you saw a Chamois,factory sleeve?The sleeve is excellent except for very very small nips where the barrel lug dug into chamois....Extremely small and in no way takes away from value.Listing one of my Grade 3`s also. 2 barreled st ALL Matching and Original in Factory case. See Pic.of 1939 catalog for case descrption(catalog NOT INCL. in Sale ). NOTE;Browning dude seems knowledgable enough to question the `factory` issue of barrel... Won`t argue with anyone but `never say never` when discussing Browning authenticity....Barrel is marked and A-5. Buyer should be comfortable before purchase...Good luck... *** Please know that this barrel never was serial #`d. That would lead one to believe in it`s factory issue... ....Lastly, I`m not trying to pawn off a bogus item but DO KNOW that TOO many times the authorities are generally WRONG.
