Single Shot with Matching Number Shoulder Stock!
Here we present a J. Stevens Arms Company New Model Number 40 Pocket Rifle, manufactured around the turn of the century in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. About 15,000 of these pocket rifles were produced between 1896 and 1916. This pistol was considered one of the most accurate target pistols of the day and comes with the original matching numbers attachable wire stock. It features a 10-inch bull barrel and a weighted pommel for balance. The action is single action only with a crisp trigger.
The overall condition is fine. The action is strong. The bore is nice and bright with sharp rifling. The numbers on the frame and stock match. Here is a very nice Stevens pocket rifle to collecting or to display.
