SCARCE 1 of 4,000 with Matching Numbered Shoulder Stock!
Here we present a Stevens Hunter’s Pet No. 34 Pocket Rifle with matching numbered shoulder stock. This is a tip-up barrel, single shot rifle in .32 rimfire. It makes for a fantastic plinker and utility gun. The Hunter’s Pet was made from 1872 through the end of the century with a total amount of only 4,000! Not only is this a scarce gun, but it still has the same number shoulder stock that it was originally made with. This is first of the heavy-frame pocket rifles that featured a 1.25" wide frame. Also known as "Hunter's Pet", it was chambered for many popular cartridges from .22 rimfire to .44-40 centerfire. Offered with part-octagonal 18", 20", 22" or 24" barrels, it has a nickel-plated iron frame and blued barrel. The detachable stock is nickel-plated, and the grips are made of American Walnut. The firing pin is mounted in the frame and features a spur trigger.
The overall condition is fine. The action is strong. The bore is bright and shiny! Original blue finish. The barrel is heavy for such a small gun, but it is fantastic. This stocked Hunter’s Pet rifle will add some character to any room its displayed in. Own this rare little plinker for your collection!
